20B in FC - front coilover springs

Anyone installed 20B in FC , kept transmission in stock position and then had to modify suspension to compensate for more weight in front? If so, how much stiffer springs you had to get compared to previous (13BT)?

During today's testing i found out my front suspension travel has changed since swap from 13BT to 20BT and i will probably need stiffer springs in front.

Or should i just adjust stiffness on shocks? Or dial more preload on coilover springs?

did you keep the front swaybar?

my old FC i lost the swaybar, but the 20B only added like 40lbs (you can look it up here, but i think it went from 2860 to 2820lbs going from 20B-TT to 13BT, same radiator, exhaust, etc etc)

anyways, with that car we did 420lbs front springs instead of 320, which was actually really good with the 13B+swaybar, the 20B had no front bar

Now i have 300ZX swaybar, which is probably bigger than stock TII one, but smaller than RB swaybar which i had with 13BT

Current springs are 8kg/mm.

8-9k spring would be fine. if you like a stiffer setup then go 10k but you dont need anything higher than that, unless you wanna become more uncomfortable with no suspension benefits what so ever

there is a direct relationship between vehicle weight and spring rate... you are going to need to weigh your car before you can begin to calculate your spring rates.. there is a whole lot more to setting up suspension, but at least its a start

With 13BT my weights were :

Total 1278kg (full tank)

Front left 329kg
Front right 320kg
Rear left 307kg
Rear right 322kg

Now i added 20B and extra weight goes over front axle. I moved radiator more forward and swapped RB swaybar for Z32 swaybar.

Everything else remained same (turbo, intercooler and pipiping, oil coolers etc..)

I probably wont have chance to cornerweight it anytime soon, i was just wondering if somebody went same route changed just engine and then found he needs 1kg more on spring rate or so....
