What year? and if you were to use that in a FD how would you make the guages work off of that ECU ( do you have a pin diagram for the outputs?)

What I ment was using it to control a 3 rotor in an FD body. From what I understand you need outputs from the ECU to control the guages so in using this ECU to control a 3 rotor I wold need to know what pins are the outputs(if it's possible to do this of course).

Yes if you know the pins it will work . Unfortunately i do not have that info for you .

THe gauges are controled by the senders on the engine, not the ecu.

I dont think that is entirely true, as I thought the oil pressure, and water temp went to the ecu first, and then to the gauge cluster.

All the gauges are wired directly to the senders .Even the tacho doesnt go through the ecu.

The tach does go through the ECU. The ecu uses the signal from CAS's and sends it through pin 2B (Y/L) to the tach. The speedo doesnt go through the ecu, its from the tranny so that should be fine. The rest of sensors are independant and dont get channeled through the ecu.

On the 13b that is correct but on the 20b the tacho does not go through the ecu.

If I can see pics of the inside of this ECU (so I know what type it is) then I am happy to offer you a few dollars via PM.

Here is a pic of the inside from another ECU showing you the type of pic I'm after.

ahh I see..Not sure how you would run the tach on an FD using a stock ecu. The only thing I can think of, is pigtail off the tach signal from the CAS's, keep the stock ecu just for the tach function only, although it will still read wrong.
