20b conversion Information needed

My sons engine blew and I have a new 20b ready to install but have no clue as to what else is required for the install. I know new mounts are needed but beyond that stuff like computer, injection, moving the rad forward a bit etc. I would appreciate any information or like to text / pic site would be nice.

So you actually bought a 20B to put into an FD, but you didn't do any research at all on what is required to drop it in?

Hmmm.... I think you'll be in for a surprise when you find out. There is a 20B forum on this site (under rotary performance I think). Check that out for more. This topic has been cover many many times.

It isn't a "drop in" conversion. there is a lot of fabrication involved. You need a new subframe and engine management system just to name a couple of larger items. It isn't impossible to do at home but it is a hell of a job. Good luck

Just to let you know what you are in for, Pettit charges $35,000 for this conversion.....which involves relocating the steering rack or modifying the firewall, trans tunnel, and interior console.

As one father to another, you should buy my car. It will be cheaper and easier than trying to do the conversion. See www.cris.com/~Asam/20B.html and e-mail me, if you're interested. With four kids in college, I need cash more than a fabulous car.

The site has text and pics. You'll like it.
