Remember the other poster a week or so ago with a 20B for $1,500? Let the buyer beware when the deal's too good to be true. This guy is new to the forum so take that into consideration also.
Why not sell it to rotaryboyz, he's 15 minutes from you?
Also, to prove you really have it, why not take some pics of the B167 number?
Frankly, if it were me and my 20B project, I'd start with an engine from a reputable source like Brian/japan2la.

So kennyfromqueenz, how about that pic of the D167 numbers with a newspaper or something that would identify the pic as being current? This would put an end to the issue and would affirm to others that you are legit.

I was lucky to find a 20b clip in an import garage for $2500. It came with a auto tranny which I use as a paperweight. I replaced the throttle body and installed a lightened flywheel. I still need to establish a complete ecu harness because it is partially cut. Definetly a work-in-progress.

well david, you sound like a detective who was rejected from the central lack of intelligence agency. i dont have time to go back and forth with you. the only reason i havent sold my motor to local people is because i have people coming down from penn. to look at it. i dont wanna stand them up because they are respectable members of this forum and i gave them a price that would put your foot in your mouth. and you are correct, i am shady. im a creep. but im a creep with a rare motor who doesnt live in the damn mountains. so there you go, more text for you to quote peter parker.

hehe this thread is a joke... I Pm'ed this dude telling him i had cash on hand and i was minutes away from him but he didn't get back to me till a few days later... A few months ago i saw an AD on ebay with a cosmo auto tranny with "kenfromqueenz" or similar name, so I emailed the person my offer saying i was going to come pick it up but he declined...
I had the money to buy the motor but homeboy was late on the draw, so im not going to beg him or anyone else to sell me their stuff because theres always another deal to be had from someone else... Ken if you are serious about showing the motor, PM me ur info and i'll come take the pics myself if not then we know that ur a bullshitter...
on a side note.. the motor was for my NA rx3 but i've decided to go with a 3rotor "not 20b" instead.. I got a set of good REW plates from someone local and Jeff Bruce emailed me prices of the 3 & 4 rotor kits which are priced cheaper than KiwiRE.. the 3rotor Kit with studs & shipping is about the price of a 20b long block, so it really isn't that bad..anyone wanna do a GB? im sure the combined shipping from NZ would also be cheaper..

You certainly are not doing yourself a favor here if you really have a 20B for sale. You could put all of the "scammer" issues to rest easily but you choose not to. I must therefore, continue to question the legitimacy of the sale. Regarding giving someone a price that would "put my foot in my mouth", why should I care what you charge? I already have a 20B. If you really have the engine and choose to sell it for under its value, that's your choice. Again, I hope this is legit, but your actions are making it very unlikely.
Why not post up a pic of the engine's serial numbers? Why not show a pic with today's newspaper in it? What does it hurt? If your Penn. forum members (wouldn't they have to come UP from Penn? Aren't you in NY?) don't buy the engine, you could have others lined up ready for the sale.
Anyway, I continue to say let the buyer beware.

Im only interested in take pics to help you regain some of your credibility on here...Most guys think that you're a BS'er and you don't really have a 20b, why? because of your actions... The 20b guys are a small bunch, so i figured i would post up the pics here so everyone could see that you're not a liar and maybe others might be more comfortable to buy....you fit the discription of a scammer my friend ie. low post count, not to many detailed pics, long time to reply, avoiding local sales, etc. so please understand where we are coming from..
I wouldn't like someone to buy alow priced motor over the internet and then when it guys to their house they find out that it has a crack plate or damage internals... got ur PM, i work for NYPD and i wouldn't have time till the weekend so if you still have the motor then i'll come over to inspect it for FREE...

If you really have the 20B, then wouldn't you want to sell it? The way to make this happen would be by doing the above. If you don't want to sell it or you are a scammer, then keep on the path you're currently on.

the free inspection is a good idea however the fact that you work for the nypd makes me real nervous. im just not a fan of cops im sure you understand. im gonna post a pic of my series number with a current newspaper asap however dont think im a scammer if it takes me a few days. i got some people coming over in the next few days. hopefully they will get on this thread and help my cred.

seriously though, i don't like cops either, but this might be a golden opportunity for you. i mean, most people look at cops as being ethical and having integrity, so if he takes the pics for you and says the engine looks on the up and up, how can you lose. you say you have the receipts and even a shitty public defender should be able to use a paper trail to clear you. for the record, i don't know Rotaryboyz and i realize that he never said he was a cop (he just said he worked for NYPD), but even in a worst case scenario, you have little to lose and more to gain if he takes the photos for you and posts them. either way, this isn't about bashing him or NYPD. it's about your credibility and based on this thread alone, i wouldn't buy the engine from you, even if i had the money in hand. it's something to consider ...

A few months ago a friend of mine sold his B-code 20b to someone out of state, the motor was imported from japan through a Japanese co-worker of my friend and was compression tested in japan with all paper work... As soon as the motor arrived home , he compression tested it and it was strong in each chamber.. The motor sat in his garage untouched for a few months till he sold it, but the sick twist was the guy that purchased it tore it down and said everything inside the motor was damaged... How is this possible? my friend is an established mechanic, he builds & ports his own motors so hes not new to this game so how could a perfect motor be "damage".. The guy that bought it pissed & moaned about the motor being broken, filed a charge back with his credit card company, paypal dont wanna get involved, guy still has the "broken" motor and my friend is assed out of a motor & money... see the point im tring to make?
In the past, guys from NY got bad reps with stolen parts and a whole bunch of other BS and this made it bad for the good guys to do business, so we dont need this **** happening again... Listen if you have what you say you have then do what the forum ask, post up some detailed pics, give out your phone number and do whatever it takes to get some of your credibility back.. Remember you as the seller need to be as trust worthy as possible inorder for someone to send you their hard earned cash..
STRANGE huh...you posted a RARE item on here about 2weeks now with an asking price of a $1000 cheaper than the cheapest importer and its amazing that you haven't sold it yet...You obviously have an Ebay account, why not post it on there with pics like you did with the tranny??what happen with the guys that came to see the motor? Why would someone go to a person's house to see a motor thats supposed to be a deal of a lifetime and dont walk with money even if its for a down payment??? i;ve been in touch with ken on the phone for a few days now, i'm going to look at/ buy this motor tomorow. if for some reason i dont buy it, ill post up pics here for you guys to see if he's for real or not. then again, if theres some reason for me not to buy it, then you guys prolly wont want it either...
