20B in a 240sx?
Yes, there is. The OP asked a pretty straightforward question and your response really had nothing to do with his question. Not only that, but your response was destined to create a shitstorm of useless banter about which engine is 'better' or how 'bad' the suspension geometry of the S13 is, all of which is subjective nonsense.
I am usually pretty quiet on these forums and only contribute where useful, but it seems like recently this section (which was arguably one of the more useful on the forum) has been filled with garbage.
I apologize in advance for further derailing this thread.

i didn't bring up which engine was better. i suggested other motors that would more easily go into the chassis if he wanted to. but if he wanted a 20b that was fine. it's his passion. The better motor statement was started entirely by nick.
i then asked what is with the animosity against 240 owners.
the point of the thread is a "20b in a 240sx" finding out the motives for this swap falls totally under the thread subjects parameters. i gave rebultes to said statements, not once aggressing anybody. so i fail to see how me asking the op's reasons for this swap was to intentionaly start a **** storm.
remarks like ls-x's are for rednecks and "said motor can't hold a candle to a 20b" were not stated by myself
actually my questions weren't intended to start a **** storm. i wasn't the one who even started the suspension geometry. the whole statement about crappy suspension was started entirely by reted. i made a casual suggestion as to aftermarket mods to be a solution to that problem.

WoW! I feel like i started a war here. LoL.. I'm a fan of the FC hence I used to own one and I still have many Rx7 friends..Larry from Drag International(Orange fc rx7 with 20b now installed), marlon, i know crispeed..And I'm also a big 240 fan. I've owned an rb26 courtesy of Nigel from Premiere Performance with the 1000hp red s14, he's like my brother, a fully built Ca18det(for sale) and a fully built rb25(just sold). But to me there's nothing sweeter than the nice sounded- bridge ported(brap brap), torque monster, high horsepower rotary from the 12a all the way to custom 4-rotor engines. I just love it! it just so happens that I do not own the rx7 anymore and i just so happened to have my s13 with a nice tightly built suspension and some bad *** wheels and a freshly painted engine bay with no engine. the car looks aggressive without an aggressive engine to bring it to life... so why not go with a bad *** engine?? I realized that this will be no over night ordeal, which i dont mind because of the way things are with the economy so i'm gonna take my time and make this one badd azz for all the rotor heads out there!!
Where's the support fellas!!?!??

keep up updated on the build.
Gerry, the real reply to your question is... how much fabrication experience do you have. Have you ever made any parts yourself..IE exhaust, motor mounts, brackets..any thing???
putting any engine into any car requires a lot of fabricating and mechanical experience... cutting, welding , hacking, wiring and so on
have you ever replaced a clutch, brakes, axle, timing belt, water pump, adjusted valves?
if you haven't then i suggest that you replace the engine with something that came in that chassis originally... there is a big difference between transplanting and bastardizing
and before anyone say"whats a timing belt...etc have to do with a rotary?" I will say it doesn't... obviously!!!!; it has to do with being able to work on a vehicle

Yeah...fabricating plays a big role in this upcoming project. It's gonna take some time. We've done a rb26 swap into a 350z. Tons of rb26 swaps into S13 chassis. Space has always been the problem in these swaps...Umm...Don't get too upset but there has been a 2jz swap in an fc twice! and several others. I just wanted to know has this been done and i was hoping to see some procedures and final result pics for motivation and support. As far as the mounts. I might have to have someone build them and brackets as needed..But for the piping and exhaust i should be able to get it done myself. And custom wiring for a Haltech will be done by a friend of mine..
It's been planned, but still some room for changes.. if any more suggestions to make this a beast!

I would just like to say, that as an FD owner, I think we're all ******** too. except me. I'm the ****. (why is saying "I'm the ****" supposed to be bragging? isn't being dooky bad? oh well, I stand by it.)

Honestly everyone... I've had my FC for about as long as I had my s13 and the FC has been better in every way... except one. GAS MILEAGE! 18-23 MPG VS 26-30 MPG. THAT'S IT. FC takes it on acceleration, handling, ride comfort, BREAKING. This car has 150,000 original miles, has been my DD for 3 years and still runs like a champ.
All I've had to replace on the FC because it broken of natural causes was the starter and the clutch cylinder. On the s13 I had to replace...
-transmission
-radiator
-starter
-shifter
That was fortunate of me... One of my friends has had to replace his s14s motor 4 times...
And the problem with 240 owners being dicks is because they're know it all EX Honda boys.

Well for one, Ive never driven my 240sx with the original KA24DE motor in it..Bought it as a shell....
And secondly never EVER owned a Honda Vehicle..(Nothing Against Hondas Fellas, just never owned one)
And yes, I agree this thread should die, my question(s) has been answered a long time ago.......
