Time is the only thing i am not counting or keeping track of! So far I dont have too much time in as i am less than 20% of the time needed into the project to finish it!

I am for sure keeping it cym as my roll cage and brembo brake calipers are already finished with CYM! That is also the reason i chose this car as it is unique and recognized in the rotary world!
Due to the fact that my shop actually started out primarily as an autosound shop 10 years, it will have a complete audio system! It looks like preliminary plans are the Eclipse double din dvd, Diamond Audio 10" or 12" single M6 sub woofer, Diamond M6 5.25" components in the front doors (2 mids in each door) and either phoenix gold or Diamond audio amplifiers!

Here is the latest part that arrived for the project!

I am going to run the Cosmo Automatic Starter so i am not limited on the clutch setup as a twin or tripple normally hits the starter pocket in the bell housing!

Also the browell bell housing i am having made will be stronger and better looking with out the starter being sunk into it!

Ever wonder why the left side alum cosmo 20B motor mount is shaped so funny?

I'm pretty excited.. Is it possible that we can hear the engine screaming when it's done? Do you have a good DV cam or something? That would be really interesting!

Interesting to see how this HUGE turbo will spool.. Will the 20B be enough to blow life in it? The rotary is known for it's exhaust velocity and heat but will it be enough??

I was thinking about the future mapping of this beast.. If you use 3 lambdas, how much heat can the lambdas take b4 they go nuts? If they're too close to the exhaust port/s you might not get the correct readings bcoz of the heat?

I think it's good to spend some time in this, Personally i wouldn’t like to damage this work of art engine. It must be hard to know anything about this new inlet and how it distributes the fuel/air? I had this trouble a couple of years ago..

To make a V8 engine with a single carb and with an open 360degree inlet manifold stop leaning the outer cylinders. I had to use larger jets, but when using the larger jets the middle cylinders had a bore wash.. the fuel starting to flush away the oil because of the rich jetting, and finally ended up in the oil pan. Very annoying.

If you use just 1 lambda more far away in the collector the readings won't be correct. You will probably get some average reading that might damage the engine at high boost?

Plenty of air to spool that turbine. I'm running a T88 with stock ports and it's very responsive. I could only imagine a ported 20b. AWWWWW

Interesting! I guess the T88 is a big *** charger? Is this the same at Auto Illusion going to use? (GTB88) When do the T88 kick in? We all have differen't references about lag

For a serious entusiast like most of us in here proably accept some lag b4 the big sledgehammer hit us straight in the face

On a piston engine the engine need lot's of mods to take advantage of a charger like that! I want a 20B and i plan for a swap in my RX4. But i doubt i will afford to buy all the goodies directly so the plan is to buy a halfcut and use all the standard 20 stuff and just change the charger, the ignition and fuel controller.

All the emission stuff has to go and probably lot's of the original electrical too.
The standard 280hp doesen't sound that bad in my ears, At least to start with

Due to my boredom at work , and my love for RX-7's , I actually read all 22 pages top to bottom, very nice, impressive, and amazing work to say none the less , I wish I was closer to pittsburgh because I would be very interested in checking the CYM out , maybe even taking a pic of it in finished form along with my FD in the shot just for bragging rights LOL , great job man I hope someday to have the money and dedication to do something of this calibur to my FD

Pretty big difference in size between mine and his. Mine is a Greddy T88 which I believe has a 72mm compressor wheel. Someone correct me if i'm wrong. And he is using a GTB88 which actually has an 88mm compressor wheel. I really don't know when I hit full boost in my car. I didn't have a chance to drive it that much. When I was driving it I was to busy watching the road. It's all in boxes in my garage now waiting to move back to the states.

I will be running an EGT in each exhaust primary tube but only one lambda after the turbo in the down pipe.....

I am still considering using a lamda in each primary tube for dyno runs to help aid in tuning each of the rotors fuel consumption, but would not leave them in as the extreme heat would cause them to fail and also the possabilitly of one breaking free and going through the turbine...(not pretty)

Here is the bell housing i was planning on running until now...

I just found out that it will not work with the standard 3rd gen flywheel but only a smaller diameter ring gear will fit in the bell housing and would only allow the starter to mount in the side of the can like shown below....

Brian Browell offered to make me a custom 1-off bell housing that will use the automatic starter in its forward position like i posted pics of earlier which would leave the clutch choices wide open for whatever i choose.

I will be paying for the programing for all of the machine work, testing and fitment issues so in the future if anyone else is in need of the same setup it would be considerably cheaper i suppose! Just give them a call!
I will post a pic as soon as it comes in (hopefully in 3 weeks!

My subframe design is finished an i would like to find someone to program the shapes in to a cnc program so they can be duplicated for the next one incase anyone is in need!

I will be making all the steel plate from 1/8th inch chromoly

What's it made of, and who offers this service? McLeod's steel bellhousing for the T56 is made for the LS1 and requires a spacer for the LT1, which means that the bellhousing is about 1/2" longer... I don't have room for that, unfortunately, so I'm stuck with an aluminum bellhousing unless I can have something made.

They have the ability to machine it from billet which opens up lots of options!

I heard there are also some places that can make a bellhousing from sheetmetal (welded) which would be a lot cheaper!
