Any chance you could scan the manual? I'd love to have an 82 owners manual (copy) to go with my new 82

I'll do you one better. While spelunking in a yard for a good set of storage bins I uncovered a complete factory service manual for the '83 model year, including fold-out wiring diagrams. Needless to say that thing ended up in my toolbag.

i am in Cape Town, South Africa and I too have the original owners manual for my 1982. And guess whats in the front cover ? Its a long story but here goes. One evening decided to spoil the wife and take her for supper at a posh restaurant. And for the occasion decided to go in the rx7 (when it still had the 12A). Restaurant was quite empty and there was a younger couple in the corner...some burly men standing nearby. we didn't take too much notice...went on with our meal. When waitress came she asked if we knew who was in the corner. We shrugged our shoulders. She said it was Enrique Englesias and his girlfriend Anna Kournikova. Well of course I had noticed the leggy blonde..but didn't let on to the wife. When we left we went accross, greeted and asked for an autograph on the back of our bill. they obliged and we chatted for a bit and then left. so now there are these autographs in my manual as well

I, too, have an 82 I have had since day one. Still have the owners manual that looks like it just came off the press. Also bought a service manual shortly after purchasing the car. At the same time I purchased the manual for the wiring diagrams, and damn, that's the one I can't find, and really need to use. Can't imagine I threw it out. Oh well, maybe it will turn up some day!

Yes i wish i too had the original or a manual at all. I think i should pick up a haynes, even tho they are ****. Any kinda of manual would be much apritiated.

That cartoon actually made me chuckle a little...haha

Is there a cover that is supposed to go over the rear part of the car, im kinda iritated everytime i look at the car and i have to see the spare sitting there, which looks more like a low profile tire than a donut.

craigw1, that has to be one of the coolest things ive ever heard, even tho i hate enrique, but Anna is one hot babe. YOu should have got them to sign your manual too

My 87, 1 owner 87k, came with the owner's manual, as did the widebody, with 216k and who knows how many owners. I also have 7 RX7 FSM's, the 83 differential manual and an RX4 FSM, along with several Haynes, Chiltons and Clymers. The other half of the cabinet is filled with domestic stuff.

Information is power. LOL

I guess I lied...it was the warranty book that contains the reference to wiper "brades".

I crack up at all of the mis-spells in the FSM, and they continue them from year to year editions.

That cassette cleaner is sweet.

My grandparents had a 77 Mercury Grand Marquis Broughm (sp), still had the origional Ford introductory 8-track tape in the glove box. Only tape the car had ever had when it was sold about 6 years ago.
