The kit is out off Japan. I have no idea who makes it, what it costs, or how to get it. I have seen it the Option mags, offten associated with club sa22c.

The front airdam is what i have on mine, mine is Dark Dark green (aftermarket color?) I was thinking about doing the Mazda writing on it, from the front all the way to the rear, I think that if i did it in a lighter tone of green or even a darker one, it would look good. I am planning on flaring the front and rear quater panels and get some low side skirts, then the back will come (low back end) i might drop it an inch and make it nice and low.

I have no problem with people calling it rice because I like it and at the end of the day, thats all that really matters.

cheers'

p.s.

Jimmy54 - thats a 1984 RX-7 (not GSL-SE) 12a right? I only say that because that is my EXACT front end (headlamp washers and all)

Thanks guys... as for the next body mods, I'll probably just add side skirts and an aluminum spoiler. But it's hard cause I have to find one that suits the car. Or possible a skyline style wing. Not sure yet. And I might get flamed but I wanna get a carbon fiber hood.... (if I could have it made)

Riffraff.... it's just the angle of the picture cause I'm still using the stock bumper. I cut the stang bumper in half length wise and added it to the stock mazda bumper. Same Idea as mazda used for the front imsa bumper kit. The picture is kinda dark, but I'll have new pictures very soon.

4ohfour- It's a gsl-se, the sprayers are just an option I guess. And who cares if the car is called RICE, as long as it looks good and you are happy with it!! My car might be rice, I'm not sure yet... I asked the lounge and most people said no.

jimmi.. carbon fiber would definatly not be ricy if you painted it the same color as your car.. it definatly is good weight reduction though... i heard of a guy once that would custom make them. i will see if i can locate him again, and then get back to you

Jimmy, your car looks great. It is one of the best looking 1st gens out there. I don't know if carbon fiber would look good. On certain cars it does(yellow or red 3rd Gen RX7s) but most cars it looks bad on. I will judge when I see it. Has anyone else done this?

Riffraff.... it would save 30lbs at least. I think alot of people would go for the carbon fiber hood. I'll try and look around too, I'll keep you guy's posted. I did however find fiberglass panels but the fenders are lite anyway.

MorePower..... Thanks Bro!! Maybe someone out there could photoshop a picture and it'd give us a good idea.

Here is a picture of my hood, if anybody can photoshop it... repost it for us!

Thanks in advance!

I'll be getting this one from http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/ for my '85 GSL-SE

GTO-1

The GTO I Racing Body Package is the same one used on the 1983, 1984 & 1985 IMSA GTU Championship winning Mazda RX-7s. Although this package was specifically designed for "tube-framed" race cars, it has been sucessfully applied to the standard RX-7 unibody chassis. It consists of a complete front clip (Airdam and front fenders), two rear fenders and two doorcaps. It is designed to accomodate up to 11"x16" wheels. This package has a single front radiator opening, and a softer front Airdam.

Jimmy54 - What type of grill (if it is even a grill, might be the plastic "scoop") do you have in the airdam, and what types of lights fit in the holes? I ask because I want to pluyg them as soon as p[ossible, I hate them being empty.

cheers'

4ohfour.... It's just regular mesh in the bumber. As for the lights, they are the factory equipment that came with that bumper option. I just painted the lenses clear blue. I could check the dimentions for you if you want. I know it's hard to find lights that match the square holes. Bosch makes a set of old school fog lights that would probably fit nice, they are cheap too. Check out some automotive places.

Or just cut the backing out and make them air ducts to cool off you brakes. And get matching mesh for the whole bumper. Just an idea.

Why wouldn't they be? If you make sure that you have side blinkers, headlights, tail lights, etc... there should be nothing wrong with it. It's only a cosmetic change.

Jimmy54 - I actually thought about making them brake vents, but there is all the crap behind it that I need to deal with to make a clear un-obstructed passage for the air to travel.

I seem to have a line of some green neon (wrapped in lexan tubing) I am thinking of meshing the front grill and then installign the green neon behind it with a set of xenon fog lights in the holes to the side, could you imagne coming over the top of a hill and seeing a green glow accented by 2 Super bright dots? mmmm

call it rice if you want, for i care not!

If i could get dimensions on the lights that would be great, I have all the wiring done (even a cool switch that was installed in the dash with a nice chrome bezel and black rubber grommit, looks tiiiight.

cheers'
