You think its worth the asking price?

Guys you have to check out this auction on ebay.

eBay 1979 Rx-7

I wouldn't pay that much if it was owned by the president of the United States.

What I see wrong with the car:
- Door panel don't match year
- Shift boot is not OEM
- Steering wheel out of a '81 to 83 Rx-7
- Seat covers not a good thing, what are they hiding?
- Engine bay picture ???

Come let talk about why anybody would even think that this car is worth $25,000+

hellllllll no i wouldnt buy that maybe if it was the year 2015 it might be worth it

i believe the door panels do match. look at the silver trim. also, my 80 LS has the same steering wheel so i am 100% for sure it is original. 2 spoke wheels were S model cars and 4 spoke were gs model and 81 up gsl cars. shift boot looks queer as hell, the shift **** is wrong, and seat covers are a definate no-go. i would not pay that price and wouldn't care if the president was shot in that car. not for that price. that is almost 3 times what it was new. so, no, my answer is no.

Bahahaha! No wonder that thing is on ebay. It says its from Winnipeg, and that's where I am, and people pay NOTHING for cars here. No one coughs up the cash its worth. What the hell makes him think that car is worth 25,000$ Mine is as minty, but not "limited" and is probably only worth like 6 grand if that.

It would take some kind of enthusiast to take that car at that price.

I'd pay $2500 CND. Maybe. Also, that's the same wheel that's in my SA.

It's a very nice SA, maybe worth upto $4k CDN. The low kilometers is a nice draw, but the limited edition stuff doesn't really mean much. It really makes me want to paint my car black though, isn't it just gorgeous?

$25,000---- this absolutely MUST be a typo. $2500 would be more appropriate, even if it were the original owner with all service records, no flaws, and no accidents.

I just emailed him telling him that its not worth more then $4000. I hope he has the smarts to lower it.

I dunno, i think it could go for more than 4 grand. The cars really clean. Very low miles. Almost a classic. I wouldnt start it at 4 grand, but i bet it will go for more than 4 grand if he does lower it

Possible... but if I had to choose between paying $4000 (U.S.) for a mint condition '85 GSL-SE vs. that SA, the SA would still be for sale after I'd left the building.

I'd rather go and buy a FD for that price. Of course I'd never pay that price for a FD either. I would consider paying that if I was guaranteed that I would get a lifetime no questions asked waranty on "all" parts
