Question WTH moments with the GSL-SE

So the story goes like this, I've been trying to get my SE up and running for awhile now but i've run into a few issues.

For starters every time i crank the engine over there is a vent or vacuum solenoid that clicks at a rapid pace even after i stop cranking the engine.

I know that is where the clicking is coming from because i can feel the solenoid activating, i dont know which one it is though since its on the same assembly. I have triple checked my vacuum lines, swapped out solenoids and checked my chamber to see if it was clogged up but its fine.

Also, I was tuning my TPS and since i'd had electrical problems in the past i decided to swap it out with an extra sensor that i had lying around. After i did that i cranked the engine over and now it seems my AFM door is opening and closing and making a clanking sound. I swapped back TPS's and still the clanking persists.

Oh and the car has sat for a couple years.

I've searched high and low for information on these subjects but i cant find anything.

Does the clicking stop after the car starts? Mine will click too until the engine is running.

Having just done a GS to GSL-SE swap, I can tell you that probing the SE's ECU with a voltmeter as per the service manual helped me track down many of the car's electrical issues related to the solenoids. It's a pain in the *** to get too but it tells you right away where the issue is.

So do you mean you check the voltage of each pin in the ECU and the compare it with specs from the FSM to see if anything is amiss? Sorry i'm not great at electrical stuff.

I would recommend reading a thread I started in ~09 named "debris IN my dynamic chamber..." I never did solve it, but it sounds like the same problem trying to get a SE to run again after years of it not. It might have some pertinent info in there for you...I asked a few times about a rapid electrical static or noise coming from a solenoid or something...posts 12 and 37.
