WTF is up with ROTARYSHACK.com Please read, i dont want my $550 stolen.

I bought the weber carb and intake blah blah blah and sent the money 4 weeks ago. I have not got any confirmation or anything from the RS guy, and cannot get in contact with him. I call him 2-3 times a day and have left messages on his shop phone and cell. Please help.

it would be nice though if he had someone to relay messages for him. especially when it's about other peoples hard earned money. :/

I have delt with him, you just have to wait, hes a busy guy but he does come through, slowly but surely. Just dont hold your breath... small little breathes are OK but dont hold it. youll pass out waiting for it He even included some rotaryshack decals for the car. too bad my car is so ugly that it would downgrade the stickers. They are not big enought to cover my whole car

With all due respect, here's me being a dick:

"OOooohhh, decals. **** that. When you place an order for ANY amount, and don't receive any confirmation for a whole month, that's bullshit. I've heard nothing but good things about Robert, his quality of work, and his prices, but if he's so damn busy, that should mean he's making money. And if he's making money, that means he can afford to hire another person, a secretary, at the very least. End of rant."

Zac

Ps. Keep up the good tuning, Robert! Just don't start losing customers. You have a really good reputation right now, and don't let that go.

i dont mean to be like "bragging" (i guess) but i ordered the same thing, I used Email to contact him, he was very quick. He sent the carb out the day after he got the check (last tuesday) it got to my post office today and i get to go pick it up. But this is the only time ive done anything with them.

LOL, robert said he was going for a speed record with me. It took him 3 days to get my weber setup out. But none the less he is difficult to get a hold of. His stuff is more than worth it though. I've found he communicates really well through e-mail.

I was thinking about sending him some carbs, seems his satisfaction rate is 50%, I don't know if it's worth the time and frustration.

Sterling, Carl, when are you guy's going to start prepping for boost with your rebuild?

Wow, one month? it took 3 for my stuff, and i swear by him.

He's dishonest when it comes to shipping, but very honest with prices and quality.

Don't worry he wont steal your ****, but he will tell you he sent it out last week when he hasnt even put it in a box yet. But don't worry too much. You havent been forgotten.

On a side note, and i'm NOT saying this makes it OK, i'm just explaining:

Would you want to answer your phone if someone was calling you 3 times every day? Keep in mind you arent the only one that calls him. I swear that gy gets a phone call every 15 minutes. i know *I* wouldnt want to answer my phone half the time.

Sorry, Seanrot. I guess I should know more about the situation before I say anything next time. Hope I didn't hurt your feelings too badly.

Carl's doing some tests.
It's looking like it won't be much over the price of a Sterling Carb.

yeah it took about that long. just so you know,

he lost all the phone numbers in his phone (it broke and they couldnt recover them). and his computer is in the shop for repairs.

He told me he has TWO orders ready to ship out, but doesnt have an adress for them.

I suppose you could go through me , private message me your parts you ordered and your adress, i'll relay to him the information.

That's two people that have said something happened beyond his control(bullshit).

See a pattern?

He may do great work, but that's bad business, not to mention terribly rude and careless. You don't do that kinda **** when people pay you money.
imo

You assume that he has a ton of items stocked, just lying around. Thats really unrealistic for many items.

The thing that bothers me about these reoccuring situations is this: If you say you are going to send it out in a day, send it out in a day. If you say you aren't going to send it out for one reason or another for a month, or two, then say:"I'm not going to be able to send it to you for a month, due to [reason], will that still be OK."

Most people are pretty reasonable, most will probably think its worth the wait if your work is good. But whether to wait or not should be their choice.
