You picture is terrible but there are only 2 things that go into the area that you speak of.

One is the temperature sender and the other is the oil pressure sender and it looks like the one you are referring to is the temperature one.

Looking at the other picture as you see coolant coming out of the hole is is definitely the temp sender.

it's the temperature sender, and maybe its just me, but i don't think its a good idea to work on cars while very wasted, on the other hand, it's straight to get in your car and "get on the highway hit about 80 let go of the steering wheel, man that **** will bonk you out"

I was doing my brakes one time hammered, back in my drinking days. I was using the scissor jack that came with the car. forgot to set the e-brake and barley moved my foot in time. Was a very close call. car was fine btw. Just had to pop the bumper back and bend the heat shield type thing back away from the rotor.

I figured it was alright since I was working up top and just removing stuff. The sender was a little tricky to get to though, so my inherent lack of coordination wasn't of any help. Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

Or you can get on the highway the wrong direction, hit 80, flip off the headlights and let go of the wheel.
