Power or manual? I might be selling some interior in about a month. Looking to unload some seats mainly - red, lowback, cloth/vinyl. Might have a moonroof for you too.

I've got maroon ones out of an '83 with vinyl interior (as opposed to cloth) and leather ones out of an '85 (though it might actually be vinyl)

the '85 ones are slightly browned along the tops; the '83 ones I redid along the tops with new vinyl fabric.

I have died mine back to the oem maroon. The die cost 85.00 the two sprayers 10.00 and the cleaner 15.00.

First you clean the area, let that dry a few hours. Shake the die and pour some into the sprayer then spray it on just like spray paint. It turned out awesome and looks like they are brand new.
There is enough die left over I am doing the rear plastics.

If anyone would like to see the panels done e-mail me your e-mail address and I will shoot you some pics.
The site will not take my pics for some reason.

I'm sure you mean dye. an $80 die would hugely decrease metal stamping costs, but is unlikely

Not meaning to change the post topic, but I'm in the middle of re-dyeing my interior with SEM plastic & vinyl dye. Got it at auto paint store, 2 cans for $15.
Makes the dash & rear plastic look absolutely NEW. I'm really blown away by this stuff..

Dye

Post some pics of the finished product.

I tried about 8 different cans by different companys and never had a dead on match. The maroon is a hard color.
I have used black in a spray can.
I had the Auto paint store match some dye for me and it came in a half gallon can. It was enough to do the door panels, plastic around the hatch, and the plastic over the wheel wells.

Yep, the spray can SEM stuff was not a match for my brown interior, it's actually a bit lighter (called 'mocha' on the can) and looks much better than the original, IMO.
