those are actually really good speakers,
i had a set from a 902 block "the bose 902 featured 9 of them in a block"
and had them installed in the front of my 84 gsl "direct fit with new holes drilled"
and they sounded great,
they flooded out the rear though since they where 8 ohm

Have the Bose system in my 2000 Maxima (which my wife has absconded since my purchase of the Rex), and the sound was great.

Thought I had blown one speaker about 2 weeks after purchase (which you aren't supposed to be able to do with a fulle Bose system, no matter how much you crank it), but it turned out it was vibration turbulence caused by one of my kids putting her "artwork" on the back deck of the car...LOL

The sound is great, but Bose systems (in general) really need to be tuned to their environment...the speakers aren't generally useful to be replanted without the Bose amps, preamps, etc.

God its so nice to see someone that ACTUALY understands that, man you ought to see how many people that come in with Bose amps that are bad and want to put a new cd player in and want to do just a simple rewire... You cant hammer it into their head that 1 ohm isnt an actual friendly load on a cD player..

@RotaryNotary You are really gonna love that Bose system when its out of warranty, Bose systems are JUNK in my opinion. They vaseline your A@@ really good when you got to buy a new amp or speaker etc.
