The worst luck in the world...

Hey guys,

This is a question and a rant I guess. It seems like no matter what I do in life it takes me twice as long and double the cost. Everything is difficult and nothing is easy. I recently purchased a Respeed front conversion kit and have had numerous problems with it. The problems consist of items not related to the kit at all. The kit has fit perfect and has had no defects in it. At first I thought I could get 5 to 4 bolt spacers. Now this is something I should have probably researched before hand, but at the time my buddy said it would be no problem. Well he was wrong and you can't get spacers like that apparently. So here comes to problems! One I have 4x114 wheels. If I could have gotten the spacer I would have been fine. So Billy helps me to figure out what we can do. So I decide to get 4 lug hubs and drill the rotors. Ok so all seems well looks like I can get a spacer and everything bolts on and rotates properly and I am happy. But wait! I notice that the 4 lug hubs that I got are smaller and the hub hats are different. This is causing the hub to extend passed the rotor 3 mm's in the center. Not good! This can be corrected by either boring the hub center down on a lathe or a spacer behind the rotor. Billy is investigating it for me but he said that all the 4 lug hubs he’s gotten have been the same exactly with 4 lugs. Now this seems like something that could only possibly happen to me, that I find the one person in the world that has a different hub and buy it from him. My question is has anyone else had the same problems? Are all 4 lug hubs the same? Are there two versions of this hub? This conversion is relatively easy. I just seem to find ways to get into trouble ha. It’s all doable but my costs have tripled. It’s probably my own fault somehow, but I am at the point where as long as it gets done my time and money won't be a complete waste, I will be happy. Any info on the hubs or help would make me very grateful.

Thank you for reading my long *** rant

I feel bad for you man. I have made the same type of mistakes with my fc. I have spent three times what my car is worth and I am still havin problems.

You just gotta own up and before you make your next move make sure to do more than just checking things out. call the company and talk to people about it.

Goodluck in the future

Sorry to hear you're having problems man. I'm sure Billy will help get you straightened out though...
