Well i got a hold of Bad 83 (sam) and we started talking about my iginition problem. it all started when i removed the emission harness. after i did remove it the car would not run. so i hooked back up my 2nd gen igintion and it would crank but not rev over 3000rpm. well after a day to think about it and talking to sam, we figured out how to get it running. i left the harnesss out rewired what compontents i needed, then wired a 12v to the j109 and then from the j109 to the coil and then regrounded everything. turned the key and it cranked. its revving nicely and idleing nice. im going to try the same thing on the trailing tonight and see what happens. but its working now with it straight wired. its a relief to finall y have it running again

thats, cool, so ur gonna do direct fire with the trailing?

 

no im not, i am going to just run `12v to the j109 on the trailng and then a wire to the coil from the other side of the j109 and see if it works. thats how i have the leading hookedup so i dont see why it work with the trailing but i will let you know. so far with this car the trailing has never worked so if it does not go as planned no big deal
