it wont stay alive

so i go out and work on my car and i try ot start it. it starts but it shuts off if you let go of the gas pedal. ive tried pushing the gas pedal while the car is started to try and warm it up. but not luck there.

so what could be wrong?

pull the choke out till she warms up. then you cna slowly push it in and ull feel if shes ready or not. try that before you decide somethings wrong.

I had that problem.... I fiddle with the throttle cables and the idle. that fixed it

If its not idling maybe you have a vacuum leak, good luck finding it though on a car that old it could be a cracked hose or a missing hose who knows

Turn the key on, pull the choke out halfway, pump the gas three times, then crank it over. Seems to work on every rotary that I've owned.

it doesnt have a key. the housing for where the key goes is gone. we have to get a new one. but the car still starts with pliers and a flathead screwdriver.
