wont start

Question wont start

i have an 85 fb
and it wont start

so i try to start it but i get a loud click and the car turns off
and the only way to try to start it is to take the cables off and try it again
but its the same thing a loud click then turns off

ive tried cleaning the starter but i keep getting the same thing

any help/advice is appreciated

Or corroded battery cables. Cheap to replace them...

or just plainly, make sure your cables at the battery are nice and tight, if they are, then yes they're either corroded or your battery is going dead.

Presume its actually turning over? If not, maybe you blew the main relay, mounted to the driver suspension tower??

it was corroded battery cables

replaced them and started right up
