At end of motor swap. I own a '84 GSLSE and dropped in S4 block with S5 lightweight rotors. People have converted there SE's to S4 upper and lower intakes and I've done so. My problem is it wont run corretly. It starts with fast idle then drops and goes from 1500 RPM to 1800 RPM. This does not change if you apply throttle which it would if its TPS. If you disconnect the TPS it calms down to no less than 1600 RPM but still acts as if its not firing the injectors corretly. A real "hairy" idle. I hope someone understands. This same "hairy" idle happens with the TPS hooked up and the clutch depressed..... I've dissconnected the emissions rack like I was told to for the intake swap and correctly set the TPS.

I've asked insessantly on this forum and no one seems to reply to anything. PLEASE HELP!

 

with my s4 block swap I kept the emissions rack just to play it safe and get it running right. Not sure if that's your problem or not, but do a search to find a thread about the s4 correspondances to the s3 throttle body vacuums.. If that makes sense..
