Woke up my SE...........wants to go back to sleep
Well its been along time......
I have woken it up after about a year off........
had the oil changed.........after monthly starts and small trips....
It has a terrible idle problem.......I was told the 5th and 6th ports need to be cleaned very dirty so they dont open and close...causing idle problem from hell
whats the best way to attack this.....
Jim

I just pushed them open and closed by hand, many, many times, this slowly loosens them up.
If they are really bad you might have to pull the lower intake off and pull them out to clean them.
Try the by hand first and see if you can loosen them up that way.

Remember, the 6 ports are not functioning at idle. Alot of idle problems can be sourced to a vacuum leak.
Removing the entire intake system would do your car wonders though, and replacing all of the rubber hoses and gaskets would also likely cure those idle woes.
Year old fuel doesnt combust well and can cause the injectors to stick; purge the fuel out.
