Hi everyone, I just bought a 1985 Rx-7 (GSL). I'm getting her ready for a (Quebec) safety. When I put on the wipers they work, however just "one speed". When I turn them off, the wipers stop halfway on the winshield, instead of going all of the way back down. I noticed under the steering column, where the wiper wiring is, a Blue wire cut in half, so I taped back them together then retried the wipers. Now the wipers are working and have three speeds" like she suppose to have, however, the damn wipers wont turn off.

Can someone help me on this. All help is appreciated.

It may be possible that there some sort of relay missing in there.

take a look at the Factory service manual

or a Hayns manual to check the wireing.

I would say that it sounds like you are missing a part or the combo switch has gone bad.
