Wiper motor wiring
Had to replace the wiper motor but the motor doesn't work when plugged into the connector. The colors don't match the electric schematic on the motor ot the wires leading into it any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

I don't have a schematic or anything but If it were me I would,
1. Test for voltage at the plug. Unplug the motor, turn the windshield wipers on, Take a multimeter or test light, and check the pins in the plug for voltage. If you don't have any foltage check fuses, switch, etc.
If you have voltage at the connector
2. Check for a ground at the connector. It should be the pin that did not have voltage. If you don't have a ground, find where it should be or make a new one.
If you have a ground,
3. Test the motor. It could be bad new. Open your hood take two wires and hook it up to your battery to see if it spins.

Thanks for the reply. Bought a test lamp and figured it out and got the motor running in all settings on the switch. Now for the charging system on the old BMW bike.
