Windshield Washer squirt adjustment
FYI for those that don't know but the spray pattern of windshield washer fluid onto the windshield is adjustable!
I kinda discovered this by accident when I had my wiper rack assembly apart today for cleaning/lube and also replaced the washer fluid lines. I got tired of the squirter function being inop.
Here's the deal - each nozzle has 2 spray openings. On one of mine I was only getting fuild out of one of the opening and it was very low on the windshiled. The other nozzle shot one stream up high over the roof and the other stream onto the windshield molding.
So on the nozzle that wasn't spraying at all, I stuck an icepick in the non-spraying hole to clean out any debris that might have been in there and lo and behold the thing rotated! These spray holes are a ball and socket type of affair and you can gentle move the "ball" around to adjust/position it to spray where you want.
So if your washer fluid isn't going where it should be can adjust the trajectory by inserting a small sharp wire or icepick into the one of the holes and gently move it to where you want.
Just thought I'd share that with folks. Probably works for other cars as well. I did not know about this in 25+ years of dinkin' around with RX7's!!!

That is awesome to know. Mine really suck, and the WASHER light is on constantly. Going to remove the bulb when I replace a burnt out one on the lower left corner of the tach.
My washer nozzles just constantly piddle fluid out all over my beautiful cream colored hood. To fix this I have zip-tied them kinked.

What I discovered was that there is supposed to be a rubber washer at the base of the nozzle. Mine were gone so I fabbed something with a rubber washer from hardware store. Now it is snug fit against cowl panel.
Sounds like maybe you pump isn't pushing the fluid like it should or you have a kink/blockage in your line. On the drivers side nozzle there is an inline 1 way check valve. Maybe its plugged also. Remove them and soak them in a something. Maybe let em roll around in a pot of boiling water - might dizzolve whatever is inside.
On a side note , I had to resue some of my old line because I didn't buy enough new stuff. While it seemed very stiff I cut off the old hard end and heated up the new end with a heat gun (just a little from a distance) and it became soft again and slipped right onto the fitting. If So, if your lines are leaking and are clear, you can heat them up again and reuse them.
if you don't have a hot air gun, maybe try putting them in some boiling water for a little bit. That should soften them up enough to slip over the fittings.
One a side note, the lines look like aquarium air tubing.... About that thickness.
I wnt to a local hobby store and bought Radio Controlled colored fuel line. But you have lots of choices......
