Windshield Scratched

Hey

I have a semi circle on the outside of windshield?
You cant feel it when you rub your finger over it.
I dont like it.......What is the best way to remove it short of pulling the windshield?

Jim

try getting a REAL fine wire pad or brush and going over the whole windshield, it should polish it up without scratching it.

I used to repair windshields. If you can feel it, its pretty deep and the only way is to get a polishing compound and work it out. If this is on the drivers side you may want to just change the window. If polished to hard or deep it will leave a warp in your windshield that you will not see untill just the right angle and it will distort everything. This is extreamly dangerous at night or in the rain, get a reputable windshield shop to look at it first, it is something that warrents experience.

Get the windshield kit from the Eastwood Co. made for that specific reason. I'm sure they have a website, too.

JC Whitney sells a kit that is supposed to repair scratches in glass. It comes with an attachment for your drill with a thick felt pad on the end and a jar of cerum oxide. Anyone used such a kit before?

I don't know about scratches on glass... But I'd like to vent some anger at a certain product called GS27...

SCRATCH REMOVER MY *** ... Good thing I didn't buy this off the TV--rather, I stole it from a friend

I've got plenty of scratches on my 85... (stupid previous owner) and I'm still looking for ways to get rid of them... *sigh*
