where the heck does this hose go?

on my 85 GSL, below the dashpot about 6 inches down is a brassy looking plate that is held by two bolts attached to the rear of the engine it has a large rubber hose attached to the bottom of it, the hose is about a foot long and goes to nothing,,,,it was just hanging there with a large bolt to close up the hole,,,,,any ideas what it is and where it goes and do i leave the bolt in or take the bolt out,,,,with it cranked up i can only feel a little air pushing out of it,,,,,,thanks,,,,,,

Well... I'm too lazy to look at my car right now, but I have an 85 GS and I remember having to remove 2 tubes that were connected to the stock exhaust when I slapped on my RB Street Port Exhaust... So, I have 2 tubes open somewhere below the dashpot.

It goes to the cats I believe. I forgot to plug mine and wound up with a massive vacuum leak
