Windshield..........Need a real one....

Hey

Where can I get a replacement windshield for my 84 gsl...

I have gone to a couple of shops locally here in So Cal
but I have noticed that they have a green tint.............

Mine has a brown tint...........Is this the correct color?

I would like to replace with the right one if it is still available.....

Jim

Find a good used one from your local Mazda dismantler.

Get a New One. It WILL look better. If the Greenish tint is bugging you, have them get it in brown.

OR tint the top strip.

Definitely buy a new windsheild, you should be able to buy it and have it installed in your driveway for about the same price that victoria british will charge just for the windshield, not including shipping.

Agreed When I got my 85 it needed a windshield, I got one for $140 and they came to my work and put it in, of course they loved the job since all the trim was already stripped off and they didnt have to put it back on

my local glass shop "the one i used to work at"
gave me the option of which color sun bar,
the options were

green line
brown line
blue line
clear line

the clear was the most expensive and the blue was the cheapest.

i have an 84 gs

i never bought the winshield "$95.00" yeah im a dumb ***,
and now i dont work there anymore so the price is $175.00

I have a crack that runs from side to side,

anyway the morel is,
look around a glass shop in your area has to carry something other then green or their just a shitty glass shop,

I worked at autoameristar I beleive their nation wide so see if theres one in your area.

you just have to go to a place that carries more then just PPG glass,

you can also install it your self but its a bitch,
I could walk you through it.
