NV Window trim issue

On my 84 GSL-SE when i roll my windows down it pulls down the rubber trim with it. Has anyone else had this problem? And how can i fix it?

It probably means the trim is worn out and shrunken, no longer fitting in the groove properly.

You can either work around he problem by using a small amount of RTV to hold the trim in the frame, or you can buy and install replacement trim.

Not sure if the SE have the same setup as my 82. But the window could be off the front guide and sliding up and down on the side instead of in the groove. Happens to my 82 on occasion. The guide is adjustable but you need to pull the door panel and plastic (if you have it) off to get at it.

If this is the cause, some times by pulling on the glass gently toward the back. you can get it to pop back into place.

Also as mentioned, if the rubber is worn or torn, needs to be replaced.
