Be careful when you install the trim. Even the new clips break. Especially the small ones that hold the bottom trim piece in. I had just a slight bend in that piece and broke 3 of the clips. Luckily the the local auto glass shop had a partial kit and gave me what they had left.

I had my winshield replaced earlier this year. During the process, I watched the tech break about everyone of the clips. He insisted he had more in the truck and not to worry, I however had my doubts. Well, he had the top and bottom clips but not the ones for the side trim. I was starting to worry until he took the time to show me how the clips held the trim on like it was second nature and then mentioned these cars were one of the few that require 3 different clips. After that he gained my trust. I planned on refinishing the pieces while they were off so I was not in a hurry. He promised to come back by in a few days and leave the clips on the car which he did. So I would say that the local glass shop should be able to help you out.

I'd planned on repainting my trim pieces and then putting a coat of West epoxy on them. I guess I'd better get three sets if they break so easily.

Powder coating is the way to go man....I just got all my trim pieces powdercoated and they look incredible, and I don't have to worry about the paint fading away. Only $75 for all the trim and a few other pieces, not bad at all.

Right on.
