window regulator issue

83 with manual windows. Dr side keeps coming out of the track. The back side seems to be coming up first. Any repair or do I need to replace? It's a track car so I can do a creative replacement if anyone knows of any.

My 85 did this before i upgraded to power windows. All i had to adjust was the track inside the door. Took 5 minutes and problem solved.

Same here. I had to drill another hole for the forward most screw for the front window track. I removed the screw, drilled a new hole roughly 1/2" back towards the rear and slightly (they bend easy so be careful) pulled the track back with the window down and in the track and used a nut and bolt with washers to hold it in place. Has jumped out in a few years now. If I get time later today I can take a pic.

Same issue I even replaced the regulator with a brand new one... Still comes out.. I had a parts car so I tried drilling a hole like above mentioned and it worked great. Just a lil harder to crank.. Have yet to do it to my good car... I want to keep manual windows but hate how they currently work.

I wondered if getting all new tracks from black dragon would return it to new function.. I hope someone that has done this can chime in...

I packed all the moving parts with bearing grease, only grease I had laying around, the inside of the track, all moving parts on the regulator and so forth and it glides a lot better. You can fix what you have without going with new parts. Just a little elbow (and bearing) grease and patience, which is preferential to money lol

Awesome guys! Thanks! As this is a track car, I don't want to spend money on anything that won't make it perform better. The window is just to keep the rain out while I'm not racing it. I'll give it a go and let you know.
