Will they fit? (tires)
No.
The four lug for the first gen non-GSL-SE is a 4x110mm pattern (very rare!).
The GSL-SE and the four lug second gens are another bolt pattern (I am not sure what) .
The only cars I know of that have the same pattern are older mazdas and on of the 80's 626 that has 14 inch aluminium rims.
Hope this helps.
PS There is a sweet set of 15 inch Koseis 4 sale on thepartstrader for $550 w/tires.

Hmmmm......What about a convertion to fit the '86 4 lug wheels on a '83? Any idea what is the effort required or even if it is a good idea? (I'm trying hard as hell to find a way for there wheels to fit, i like them a lot!!)
Too bad the '86 4 lug doesn't fit my '83 4 lug setup. hehehe i guess that would be to easy. In any case it means another project. *happy little dance*

Pillage from it:
Rear axle, Front and rear suspension, front wheel hubs, brake calipers, and brake discs.
You might also need:
Brake hoses, brake master cylinder, brake proportioning valve, driveshaft
All this should bolt onto your 1983 GSL with little effort. The only problem I can think of is your driveshaft. you may need to convert the yoke on your tranny to the SE yoke or the yoke on the SE diff to the 83.

I thought 83 was the year of the non-replacable U-joints but kept the small flange. Oh well. Got my stuffs mixed.
