Will swap help for a good bottle of whiskey
I am missing the rigid cover that sits over the spare tire well and supports the carpet. Anyone willing to take a big piece of paper (or as many as needed), trace around the oem board with a sharpie, then mail the tracing to me? That way I can use the tracing to make my own board. I am assuming it's a weird shape, and hard to replicate if I don't have one to copy.
Will pay shipping for the tracing, and send you a good bottle of booze.

I know T3 sells one here (https://technotoytuning.com/mazda/fb...over-sa-fb-rx7). You could try making a cardboard mock up to put over the hole before cutting a real one out of wood or metal

Quick follow up. Have concluded there was NOT a rigid cover over the spare tire. Instead there was a layer of insulation, a rubberized layer and then the carpet. Spare kind pokes up slightly above the finished carpet level, and it’s normal to see the shape of the tire through the carpet.
Just in case someone else is reading this thread and searching for a non-existent cover.

More specifically, there is a rubber mat, approx. 3/32 to 1/8 thick that had a layer of jute padding glued to the bottom. The jute was cut in a shape that included a semicircle cutout that went around the diameter of the tire. The rear carpet laid over this.
For the trivia lovers, I've also saw a layer of heavy gauge foil in that semicircle cutout in some cars. It's purpose has always mystified me. Both my Limiteds have this and I've assumed it has something to do with keeping the RWL tires that came on those models from getting dirty or marked up.
