will it fit?

ok i will be getting a SE in the near future and i am going to be wanting to do a 13B-RE swap in it and i was wondering if the wirring harness will work with it? i know that there might be some thign i might have to do with it but is it useable? also will the SE ECU work with the motor?

Thanks

You will need to run a new harness. There is no way a 6 port harness will handle a twin turbo setup.

If you don't have the RE harness, you will need to go stand alone, period. There is no way to make the SE harness work with 4 injectors and boost.

Match the harness and motor. No one said this would be an easy swap. If you can't find the RE harness, ecu, etc., go Mega Squirt.

At this point in time, I would say more research is needed before making any decision on an engine, ecu or harness.

Gauge cluster has no connection to the EFI or ECU.The gauges are electric and run off of their own, independant senders.

The Cosmo didnt come in an N/A form,so running the 13B-RE in N/A will require a standalone ECU.At that point, your gonna be removing all the twin turbo stuff and smog gear,so you might as well be prepared to be running a bare-block engine with just the RE manifolds. That means zero chance of passing a smog test (if that matters) and your gonna be paying some bucks for the EFI system and dyno tuning to get it working right.

If you dont know all this already, but really want the engine swap, youd better read up,a lot.As stated before, this isnt a simple swap although running a standalone ECU with an N/A engine,is about the simplest way to go.....it will however be a far cry from an actual 13B-RE or REW engine swap, since forced induction is pretty much what defines those engines....

You will either need to go megasquirt or wire in the ECU to your car. I went standalone because it was more adjustable and easier. I have see people wire it in though.

Yes. Definately more research appears to be needed. If you go through the old archives, and SEARCH - you will find all the answers to the Turbo questions and more.
