I am looking for a coil pack for 2gdfi +TT and found one on craigslist but the owner doesnt know alot about it (he says S4/S5?) and when he sent the pic it was different than the 2nd gen coilpack I previously ran with TT. Can anyone tell me if this will work with TT or should I keep looking? I cant see if its trailing or leading so I will have to ask for another pic if people think its the right type...

I don't think you can use that one.

 

I'm not an expert on 2G coils but that looks like the trailing coils not the leading ones.

 

Ahhh.. OK that would explain why it looked so foreign to me. I've only ever really looked at a 2nd gen leading pack. Oh well I'll keep looking local until I send off for the TT from Kent. If no luck then its off to the parts for sale forum for me!

That's the trailing coil pack. Leading is 1 single coil with 2 spark plug wire nipples on it.

Yea I still have one of those sitting in my engine bay after the original TT burned it out. I just wanted to make sure no later models just looked different. thanks everyone!
