Will a 2nd Gen HKS Intake work?

Well this guy came into our shop today and wanted an intake for his 85 RX7, it was a 13B car so I thought that the HKS intake kit for the 86-88 might work but I didnt want to sell it to him if didnt know for sure. The kit comes with a adapter plate, a filter and some other hardware. Any info would be much apeciated, thanks a lot.

if it is on a gslse yes it work but you have to put some silicone to cover a 1/4 inch gap in the AFM adapter because the AFM in gslse is smaller that the 2g ones and they are not interchange

i was thinking couldnt you put a HKS filter on top of the stock nikki carb? what is the size of the hole that covers the carb? like on the bottom on the blue box.. that should be good for air flow.. but i hear that the HKS will not provide lots of filtering.. some people have pulled theres off after few months use and found lots of black dirt/junk inside the AFM

I work at Le-Toy Motorsports on Wible, its just past White lane by Rainbow car wash. Thanks for the info, I think I might just sell him the adaptor plate and a filter kit, but it was a gslse.
