BC Wierd Electrical Issue

Hey Guys, Wierd issue the other day had my stereo on and I went to apply brake and the stereo shut off, lol then my gauges went screwy tach was jumpy volts dropped below 12v, so I shut it off and started it again and all was well again??
no idea why it did it as the stereo wiring is all good? hate electrical gremlins

I'd look to checking grounds& battery connections, and also test battery & alternator voltages.

When you have systemic things like that change suddenly, it's generally one of three things;

Something has shorted, which will then blow out a fuse.
A poor ground or loose batt clamp is interfering with delivered voltage to major subsections of the system.
Voltage is either too high or too low, making things act all crazy.

Oh, and make sure your battery isn't moving around and shorting to the frame or squashing wires.

I feel your pain. Just got my engine bay back together. Now for another year of electrical troubleshooting, lol.
