Can't get any easier..... You know you wanna do it. Once you get the 9 inch rear you can get huge brake kits meant for mustangs but they'll fit.

I put on her running gear before the swap. All her suspension gear, struts, springs, brakes, etc were in before I started the swap.

I don't think the make Brembo's for our cars anyway.
The best big brake option is the one from Seven's Only Racing on a previous thread.

Anderson,, Did you start with a mode four first, then went to a mode one.?? I ask this, because looking at your car, you've got the rear wrap-a-round (mode four)
and the mode four side skirts. Is the whole hood mariah? or just the NACA duct .? or do you even know ??
You've got a few extra's that the mode one doesn't come with. The hatch, the 3 piece skirts,(rear/sides),
Hood/or NACA duct, and small flying whale tail. Don't get me wrong, i'm just curious.

A good example of a mode one, plain and simple with no extra's would be magnus's car.

This is my Mariah.
Got some problems with the wheels/tyres, though.
When the tyres get hot, they become larger. That's normal. But when the car is loaded (like for holidays), and I drive about 100 miles, the clearance is about... 3 or 4mm !!! The rear tyres are wide, very wide. 255/50/15. That makes them lining up with the fenders. Therefor, they wont fit underneath when the springs are compressed. It seems the fenders simply go in the wheelarch, but not up. So smaller tyres wouldn't help. Is this normal on Mariah cars? I didn't built the car myself, but bought it from a friend who got it from someone who thinks he's a specialist. The guy used wood screws to help atach the body kit!!! Anyway, we did manage to get this justified, and I got the car to the paint shop today.

rotary emotions,

How much room is there on the inside of your tire (or tyre as the case may be ) before it hits anything? I'm guessing the strut is what it would hit first; how far are you from that?

It actually hits the fender, or to be precise: the arches.
Let's say you had a wheel that is wider then the car, then you couldn't be able to compress the springs more then the distance between outer diameter of the tire, and the arches, yes? So this is exactly my problem. The Mariah fender has a strange design: it sits above the wheels. I'm not sure if this is ment to be like that, or if the builder just was stupid... But you have to imagine the arches as a sort of "tunnel". So you can see on the pics there's not much space between the lower edge of the arches and the tire. If my story doesn't make it clear, I'll post a drawing or something.

Looks like the Fender isn't Rolled in (and upwards).

I have a feeling it's a Mariah Copy, (note the rocker panels too, they aren't Mariah).

It is not a copy, as they arent available here. The rocker panels aren't Mariah, that's true. Seems a one off job. Don't forget: I don't live in the US. Body kits are VERY rare overhere. Copy's are not a choice. The original fenders aren't visible, but the Mariah splash panels (inner fenders) are molded in. Maybe the car sits too low. I mean: look at mine and then at Magnus car. There's no room with my (smaller) wheels, and his 16" fit with plenty of space???

I was under the impression that the stock fenders got cut when installing a Mariah kit, eliminating the problem you're experiencing. What I was wondering is how much room there is on the inside of your current tire - to the far left of your drawing. I guess I'm just curious how wide of a tire will actually fit under a Mariah fender given the wheels are of the optimum width and offset.

For example, in your case, if your wheel was set further into the car would the tire not rub on the strut (or any other obstruction) and no longer rub on the fender? Do you see what I'm saying?

Nice drawing BTW, it helped me to visualize what you were talking about. Before the drawing I was thinking that your tire was rubbing on the fender liner somewhere.

The stock fender should be cut, yes. Now, if you go to this link: http://www.dataphone.se/~berglund/wa...newwheels1.jpg
you can see how the real thing looks. This is the car from Magnus Berglund. But mine looks just the same at that spot. If you take a close look, you can see the inner fender behind the wheel. That's my problem zone.
Putting the wheels further in the car would'nt solve the problem, as the distance is to big. All I could do, is running stock wheels, but that would be a bit stupid, wouldn't it? Anyway, I might mail Magnus, after all his car is very simular.

You could ask mariah for the maximum wheel sizes, I think.

So are you saying that if the stock fender was cut you would not be rubbing?

Hardly, I think the fender WAS cut. Look at the photo from Magnus car, and you see how the Mariah fender sweeps inside, but not up. So you get a bit of a straight line.
