widebody in Colorado

Found this on craigslist today. It's in good condition but seems expensive considering it has no engine. Thought I would throw it out there for your viewing pleasure.

Well, if that's worth 4k without an engine, then mine should be worth at least 8k, since it's in running/driving condition. I'm always leary when they say it needs some bodywork. If the rear fenders are beginning to delaminate, that's major work.

With no interior pics, I'd have to say 1500 at the most without knowing anything else about the shell.

In all honesty, the body and paint work is worth more than 4k. Very few members here realize how much time. tools and effort it takes to install a full kit, with paint, and do it right. And it seems most of you missed the 1k in wheels that the body has too.

Widebody kits are like any other major mod... they cost a lot more to do, than they are worth when you want to resell it. Until you find someone that likes it.

Jesus, Mary, and baby Joseph, that eBay '79 looks exactly like the one I just bought (but haven't received yet), oddly also from eBay, now I'm worried. I know it's not the same car because the interior is different (this one's better ) but sheesh. Suddenly '79 widebodies are about as rare as air molecules.

Please post some pictures when you get it. Snowing in Denver....again, 6th weekend in a row. I keep clearing my se off, but obviously that doesn't last long. Seeing pictures of one w/o snow would be great!

You got that right, and I did pick up both front and rear SA bumpers for mine. More work for the widebody, will it ever end, no. LOL
