Its just fake carbon fiber sheet, cut to fit and applied with a hairdrier and fingertips.I think I got it from CarbonWerks or somn'.Its not easy to do and there are still some wrinkles but it looks good enough to leave on......

INTERIOR

HEY 1SxyRXy,

Love the car.....

Things that I would change: Make interior all BLACK or Mixed(grey&black), paint underneath wheel fenders in red, remove tint.
Rims are not bad... but I would change them.

The Miata headlight kit was about 200
Did it go down in price? I thought it was 300+

Would it be possible for you to post a pic of how you mounted them?

The engine bay is fine
Yes it is!! I love the way you installed the radiator.

Rims are not bad... but I would change them.
I was thinking the same thing. I think widebody car should have wheels whith a fat lip. But I now they're expensive. Trust me!! http://oskifoundation.com/luiml73/

Very nice car!! I'm jelous

Maybe it was 300,I cant remember. It was over a year ago.

Again, black wasnt an option in the 84-85 interiors so thats out, or I would have done it.Painting vinyl isnt an option for me.
Paintingt the fender wells,eh maybe....but again, its a driver not a show car,itd just get dirty. When the wheels get pushed out,the inner fenders will dissapear.

Remove the tint!!! NEVER!
The black windows complete the body line between the red and black.Without the black windows, the "cockpit" effect of the two-tone job wouldnt work.

It didn't come from the factory that way.
Black was not an interior option in 85.

Dont scare me like that! Ive been cursed by the red Xs for a while now! This is the first time my pics have ever lasted this long without turning to Xs!......Its just you!

Far as Ive ever seen the only color options for the interior revamp in 84-85 models are,
Red (burgandy.....yuck my car was that color)
Brown(yuk,dark brown not tan unfortunately)
Gray(its a drak gray almost charcoal, looks good but fades)

Its possible someone swapped older 81-83 black carpet, seats, panels and rear trim. But the dash would be a dead giveaway if it were an older model (rounder and tach in the middle)and it would be tough to paint all the 84-85 pieces black.Every vent,**** panel and trim piece on the 84-85 dash is color coded, which is why I settled for gray.

Hummm..... must been a fluke, I see them fine now . Nice car BTW, very nice. I can tell you've spent a lot of time on it (and money ). Thats the first two tone I've seen on a 1st gen that I like.
