Why is my car smoking?
Car has not been running much the last two years i just bought it last month. i put new plugs in last night it started right up. idle is a little high and it smokes white real bad on and off any help would be great. Oh and i have the holley carb from Racing Beat. If some one could tell me where the mixture screw is if you think that might be the prob thanks a bunch.
White smoke? Water. What does it smell like? If it is waterit is either your intake O- rings, for carbed or your housing seal. If it is the housing seal do a search for Paul Yaw's fix. It worked with mine.

I am going to assume that U are carbed, therefore if it is water it does not mean re-build. If it is the intake o-rings then it isn't a hard job. As for the bubble gum......hey the **** works!
Take it out and run her up to the redline a few times, then see if she still smokes. After sitting for a long time, some of the seals can get stuck. A good hard running should loosen her up a bit. I'm assuming at this point that the problem is not water leakage, you said it was whitish in color, but smelled like a two cycle engine, so sounds like oil or over-rich.
Might be worth a shot...

Or you know... Just let the car run for a while...
My 7 had been sitting for probably a year and a half (judging when last smog ran up) and all it took was 5 minutes of running for the smoke to clear up.
Change the oil/fuel/air filter(s) and see if anything gets better.
