Question Why can't I use my 12a pump housing with the sc?

What's the reasoning for it? I heard one reason is clearance issues with the thermostat housing. Dunno the other reasons. My hubby test fitted the charger and looks to clear everything. Can someone shed some light? I do have an 86 pump housing on it's way, but wanted to know.

I'm out of town and my frickin husband started on it without me
He was nice enough to send me pics though.

Yeah, it will not be even started until I get the water/methanol injection kit installed. From reading, I will wrap the header and find a suitable heat shield too.
I will be running the Holley for now. My plans are getting shut down for the moment since my daily driver just took a crap on me and i'm in the process of buying a new car a 2005 Accord v6. Anyone wanna buy a 98 mercedes? (Cough cough) Runs great!

Would that jet be placed on the plate between the carb and the charger?

I'm running a full RB exhaust with no kitty cats. I will be getting a wideband for tuning.

I guess we will see how the 12a feels about the charger. It has been rebuilt, and it's in great health. I get to drive the RX-7 maybe once everyother week since my job is so hectic, I don't have time and when I take it out I don't go far and I don't race it so it will probably not ever feel it's full boost potential. Unless someone tries to test me Plus it doesnt get out of the garage if the weather is crappy.

Yes my RX-7 lives a lazy life. I can't wait to hear it running!

dont wrap the header since it cant desipate the heat you will cause more problems that way just get the methanol kit and a heat shield you should be all set . snow performance sells a plate that sits just below the carb on top of the charger thats what you need. ill research that for you and ill let you know.
