Who wants to see some pictchas?!? (Go away 56K)

Alright, alright, alright! So, I finally got some pictures of my buddy Josh's (southernrunner) FB. It's a 1983 GS that has pretty severe rust in the rear portion of the car. The motor that was in the car has eaten atleast one coolant seal along its life span at some point, as well.

The car is beige and mildew with brown cloth interior. I know that Josh will chime in shortly after I make this thread to talk about his plans/goals/opinions/thoughts/whatnot; so, I will spare the details.

Without further adue, here are the pictures thus far of the car!

First day home:

...continued

And this one is for you, YZF; wherever you may be...

On to the tear down:

First signs of bad rust:

Front speaker (uh oh):

Well.... I seemed to have "misplaced" the rest of the tear down pictures, but as the car sits right now, it looks like this:

The interior is completely gutted, and from the bins back feels like it is about to cave in on itself from the rust. We pulled the motor, and Josh has another 12A that he got for free. I don't know what he is going to do engine wise; hell, I don't know if he knows what he is going to do engine wise. It's slowly coming along, though.

That's all for now; hopefully, I can find those other pictures soon, though.

So, please, feel free to comment on the car, progress, or ask any questions or express any concern.

And for the record, remember, this is the kind of guy you are dealing with when it comes to Josh:

P.S. Please let me know if you can't see any of the pictures posted.

Oh, it will get back on the road. Whether or not it is exactly legal or safe is out of the question at this point. We just want it to go at this point. Haha.

Josh has a buddy that will do all of the body work and paint for the cost of supplies and a little help from Josh; so, once we get this thing in proper running condition, the (endless?) body work will commence.

Not everyone has the pretty coin to find a mint -SE, meany. Haha.

Man, I really need to find the other pictures or go take some new ones. That way, you guys can see all the rust. The back shouldn't be too hard, though. It's like one big, flat sheet that is rusted; so, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to cut it out, prep, and weld in a new sheet.
