When I run my engine, I hear a whiney noise, almost like a slipping belt but not quite. I guess it sounds like a cross between an electric motor under a load and some gears wearing away. I am worried that I am hearing my apex seals grind themselves into dust. Do rotary engines usually make this sort of noise?

Also, what is a good way to check the operation on my OMP? I really don't want to risk my fresh 13b on a bad part that is prone to failure.
