wheres your coolant gauge read

Where does your coolant gauge normally read when at operating temp? I changed my motor and in the process I broke the temp sender. No problem, I went to the parts store, bought a new one, kept going. My gauge use to read on the lower left tick mark and it stayed there. Now it reads in the middle. I've changed temp senders 3 times and still the same reading. The cars not hot because I stuck a thermometer in the radiator and used a infra red temp gun. Radiator temp is 170-175. Motor temp is a solid 180. Just wondering what everyone elses gauges read.

so it looks like the old temp sender was not to good if 3 others say different. do you think the engines running hot, jeez it should with,,, is that a turbo charger ? ha ha
thats huge !! is that the engine in your car ? could always get a better radiator and maybe give the oil cooler a good cleaning, even a 2ed gen oil cooler may bring down temps for you.
