Where have you gotten your starters?

Ok, so my starter is gone. My question is: Where have you all gotten your starters at? I know I can go to autozone or something, but is there a cheaper or another place I should look.

I usually get mine from the lower left side of the engine,LOL. sorry just could not help myself,
been a long week. Try napa, they have quality parts, unlike some of the big chains that get
the slapped together parts. Another option is to check with your local electrial rebuilding
shop that does starters and alternators. Most of the time the only thing wrong internally is the brushes. Unlessit just spins, then its the over running clutch. I have a used one that i would sell for $45.00 shipped. Let me know rx7doctor

You can fix your starter. Take it apart and clean the brushes and what not. Just take some metal cleaner, and brush them up. I did that to mine, running strong for 2 years now. Give it a try, can't hurt anything if its already messed up.

Very true, good idea. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Autozone wants $109, and I found one on ebay for a lot cheaper. Just didn't feel like 110 bucks for such a simpel thing. If I can't get mine going I may just go to the junkyard and see if I can get near one lol. Thanks for the suggestions
