Where to get window trim?

I'm in need of the bottom outside window trim on both sides. VB wants about $50 each!
Any other sources you guys use? The stuff in the junkyard is in awful shape, I've found.
Thanks!

That's where I was going to get mine from, but I'm waiting to have the paint job done to have it installed nicely.

got mine off a wrecked porsch, just keep a piece of your trim and hit the bone yards and look at the 2 door wrecks that have the same rubber mold, some may be a little longer than what u need, just trim to fit, costs 5 bucks for mine

Good idea, but mine was missing when i got the car. Guess I could keep measurements & tape with me, though.

The window seals are relativeny cheap, about $30 CDN ($20 US) from the dealership new. The doors, however, they wanted $170 CDN for - EACH.

I bought some through A1Auto for $49 US for the pair, though had I known VB carried them I'd have bought from them.

The reason it's so damned expensive is because they have 'em and you need 'em macroeconomics @ it's finest.

Mazdatrix wants over $200 just for the center dash console plastic piece, a/c controls not included. On eBay they're selling for $20, controls attached.

As listed on: http://www.mazdatrix.com/doorwin1.htm
WINDOW SEAL 79-85 OUTER 58-7810-8871 $15.61
(each)

We purchase the center dash pieces through Mazda,
price varies a BUNCH by model:
PANEL CENTER CONSOLE 81-83 W/**** HOLES 55-2100-FA01 $64.05
PANEL CENTER CONSOLE 81-83 W/O **** HOLES 55-2100-FA02-01 $$64.29
PANEL CENTER CONSOLE 84-85 COMPUTER CONT 55-210B-FA57-07 $228.01
PANEL CENTER CONSOLE 84-85 SLIDE CONTROLS 55-210B-FA55-07 $228.01

I have not checked, but I would guess the supply of NEW, OEM via Mazda, 84-85 panels for $20 each on e-bay should be rather limited.

I'm impressed with the prompt response from Mazdatrix on this thread (or whomsoever is posting on their behalf if that's the case) but I've found about 10 center dash pieces per week on eBay for $20-$30... the catch is they're used, so sometimes scuffed, etc. and you have to bid, wait for end of auction, be the winner, then pay, then wait for shipping, etc...

If it saves $200 (I can get a steering box for that, installed!) then it's worth a shot. But the nice thing with ordering from Mazdatrix is (a) it'll probably be in stock when you order it; (b) you know exactly what you're paying without waiting a week to find out; and (c) you know who you're dealing with.
