Where does this go?

Okay. My dad doesn't think the rotary professionals who took off my rats nest did it right so now we are trying to figure out what's supposed to go to two spots:

Here:

and here:

The second pic is the throttle opener, but my car has run just fine for 6 months now without any vaccuum on it. The first pic had a vaccuum hose coming off of that tube but it didn't go anywhere. It was just dangling. Can somebody tell me wtf is supposed to be there or not supposed to be there? I'm tired of my dad messing with my car since he knows nothing about it. He's just guessing from the diagrams under the hood and the diagrams in my haynes/chiltons manual.

Well that first pic is for your AC and its fine. The sencond pic is something that I dont use myself eaither and is fine as is, because it had to hook up to stuff thats no longer there in the rats nest.

I would cap them to be safe. If they need to be open then cap them with a filter/breather, if not you can get a mess of vaccuum caps for about $2.

The second pic item connects to the first pic item. It is used when the AC is turned on, to bump up the thottle to handle the extra load on the engine.

1st pic is AC solenoid
2nd pic is thottle postitioner for AC.

Connect Vac line between the 2 and you are done.

WHITE might just be cruise control, don't have a book or car in front of me.......

Somebody verify the WHITE connector.

I all ready knew the white plug was AC cause that's the only thing I had them leave when htey took out the rats nest. My dad was thinkin about connecting the two just in case. The carb is at the shop being rebuilt now so I'll be sure to connect those two when I get it all back together thanks for the help guys.
