Hi.

This should be pretty simple. Mine is a 1978 model, and most of the electrics are working except the windscreen cleaner spray. I hotwired the pump to the battery, and it worked fine, so that isn't the problem. The fuse is good.

I assumed the control is on one of the levers sticking off the steering column. Is it done by pushing in the end piece of the stem that has wiper controls on it?

Try pulling the wiper control lever towards you.
