Hey everyone, I just moved to Florida a few weeks ago and was wondering if anyone could help me. I don't know anything about this state and I want to race my car, where can I race it here? I haven't had my rx7 very long and haven't raced it yet, I'm excited about racing it though because it handles like a dream.

Both, legal and illegal! Ha Ha... I live in West Palm Beach. My car hasn't had much done to it yet, I'm working on it. It is pretty much all stock right now but I'm going to put a turbo on it and change some stuff to make it faster.

I wish i could help u out with your where to race question but i dont know crap about florida, lol. im sure someone on here does tho, so just wait a little bit and you get some good places.

what kind plans do u have for your car? 13B swap, porting, etc. u mentioned a turbo for the future, are u gonna go fuel injected or blow through?

i just moved to florida myself...im near pensacola, they hold an autocross event close to me, so i'll compete there for now. eventually i want to take my car to a REAL race track...

 

we just had the us drift nationals here in good ol' charlotte, NC! it was awesome.

They have autocrosses in Pensacola you say? How far away is that from West Palm? I want to take my car on a real track too.... hell maybe one day I'll be a professional racer.

1pt1, you went to hyperfest???? HELL YEA! the best fb there was the red one with the peripheral (sp) port 12A!!!!! f'ing amazing! looked better than if it came off the factory floor!

 

west palm is down there on the panhandle i beleive..pensacola is northwest, up where panama city and such are.

 

dude, if you're near Pensacola, then you're in the panhandle. West Palm is on the Atlantic coast, about 40 minutes from Miami ...

i will assume (since you made the legal/illegal crack) you're talking about drag racing? i'm sure there are places, closer to you than Pensacola, to race. check with the Regional forums for FL ...

'85 GSL, eh? if you want to race you'd probably need to start getting yourself in there with the mechanics of the car it helps you as a driver. just some friendly advice.

swap out the stock exhaust and front swaybar for a Racing Beat header/exhaust and horsecock swaybar... your car will go and handle far, far better
