Use the Peejay method. Search peejays posts for PCV valve. He details an alternate way of venting the crankcase. Been meaning to try it myself, just havent gotten around to it.

Looks like you need to add some brake fluid, by the way.

You can vent the center housing like that, but the filler neck needs vacume for proper air circulation.

You need vacuum, but not a boatload. Check out PJ's posts on lung mustard (linked in the FAQ) section. Took more time to find the damn PCV valve at the store than it did to hook it up. Seems to work fine and you can't break the metal PCV like you can the purge valve.

If you absolutly want the stock vent thing you show in the pic, I'll send mine to you that I got off an 85. I basically took it with that carb(just plugged it on a hose).

i think with mine i just attached it to a newlyt vacant spot on the intake after my rats nest removal...i dont think you need the valve....atcually.....i may have just added a Y connector and spliced it into an existing line.

i extremely riged it...i grinded down the rest of the nipple that was there...drilled the hole out a little bit..

then i knock the rivit part off of the nail looking part ( on a new unused rivit )..and press fitted it into the hole and BOOM...new nipple

I think I'm just going to use the PCV valve route, cuz it looks extremely simple and effective.

Just out of curiousity, do you have a pic of what you did?

I asked peejay recently which PCV valve he likes to use, and he said:
Almost any MitsuMill.

I like to say '92 Caravan with 3.0l. Just because it's easy enough to remember.
I need an inline one for one of my projects and I'll go check it out at an auto parts store to see if it'll be compatible.
