Question Where can I find a longer gas tank "neck/hose"?

To make a long story short, I need a longer (3" longer) rubber tube that goes from the gas tank to the filler door. It's a 79 rx7, but the problem is with the widebody kit. The filler door is further out than stock. Does anyone know where I can source a hose? I wanted to ask because the factory hose is VERY thick and has some weired ribbing on it, etc.
In the meantime I will be searching around.
Thanks

Brian

Just find an industrial hose supply store. Tell them what diameter you need and that your using it for fuel. The stuff is expensive, IIRC I bought some 2" and it was about $25 a foot.

Idea???? Source another standard fill tube from a PnP and join in the middle of the rear fender space with a piece of steel/aluminium/copper pipe and clips. Is that too rough and ready? are you doing a street car or a show car? In fact I think the top piece of plated metal tube that goes to the filler cap is about the right size if you can get one of those as well.
Apologies if my translation to American English is not good!

When I worked at NAPA we had the stuff, it's just fuel filler neck hose, nothing crazy special about it, but because it's so thick/tough it's not cheap like radiator hose.

Thank you!
I will eventually work on posting up alot of pictures of the entire build process. My goal is to have it done in 4 - 8 weeks. I guess you could call it a "show-worthy" street car. But a street car first and foremost.

You can cut it, install a 3" longer pipe of correct OD to match the ID of the hose. Clamp it well and you're ready for a widebody. The pipe should technically be longer than 3" but you know what I mean.
